4 Days Visa-Free Entry for Singapore PRs

Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) would no longer require a visa to visit Indonesia’s well known islands of Bintan as of October 8, 2024. Besides that, there are more than one countries that include Visa-Free Entry such as Brunei Darussalam, Philippine, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, East Timor, Suriname, Colombia, and Hong Kong.

Visa-free entry policy

Singapore PRs who fulfill the requirements will be able to enter Bintan without a Visa as long as they use the certain immigration checkpoints that are provided on Bandar Bintan Telani (Bintan Resorts). 

Visa-Free entry criteria 

The following individuals are eligible for visa-free entry into Bintan Resorts for a stay of up to four (4) days, which is non-extendable and cannot be converted to another immigration status:

  1. Permanent Resident Status: Travelers must hold PRs status in Singapore.
  2. National Registration Identity Card (NRIC): Only Singapore PRs with blue NRIC are eligible for this facility. 
  3. Exclusion of certain Nationalities: People from nations where a calling visa is required are not eligible for the Visa-Free arrangement. 
  4. Spouses and children of Singapore PRs holding a valid Long-Term Visit Pass (must enter with the PR and provide proof of relationship).
  5. Foreign nationals with a valid Singapore-issued Student Pass.

Stay permit and limitations

Singapore PRs will acquire an entry stamp, known as a Visitor Stay Permit upon entering the permitted seaports. This permit may only be used for a maximum 4 days stay and cannot be extended or changed to another kind of visa.
