Nirwana Gardens’ staff dive into the sea every day to monitor the condition of these corals, and during monsoon season, the six racks are moved to a deeper area to prevent destruction to the racks. This project embodies our dedication to preserving the natural beauty of our beaches, while offering guests a unique opportunity to engage with marine conservation efforts firsthand. We believe in the importance of protecting our oceans and are proud to take proactive steps towards sustainability.

We are proud to announce that on 8 July 2023, we have yet again successfully released 60 adorable baby Hawksbill Turtles at Banyu Biru Villa beachfront that were nurtured from our hatchery! The event was participated by enthralled adults and children alike, all of whom contributed positively and directly to the role of conservation for these endangered species.
The Green and Hawksbill Turtles climb ashore to the beaches of Bintan Island twice a year to lay their eggs. Our Nirwana Gardens conservation team then collects and buries the eggs in a sheltered hatchery to protect them from predators and poachers. The eggs will be conserved for approximately 60 days before they hatch.
While we cannot guarantee an exact date for release, we will announce the release date a few days in advance on our website and social media platforms.
